We accidentally bite these little soft skin nubs but what are they called and what is their purpose? I have serached some sites and haven't found anything useful to me. Any clues?
What's the name and purpose of the skin tags on each side of our lips, inside the mouth?
I don't know the names, but it is just extra skin allowing you to smile or open your mouth. Without it, the inside of your mouth would tear.

I had those forever in the back of my mouth. When I got my wisdom teeth pulled they went away. It was the strangest thing ever.
