My girlfriend recently confided she has a genital skin tag about the size of a pea. She had it (smaller size) about 2 years ago and had scratched it off. However, it reappeared and its bigger. Not that it hurts or anything but its embarrassing especially since she is in for a potential relationship. We tried searching for natural remedies but not sure if they are safe and effective. Maybe you guys have tried something that worked? Any natural cures that we can try?

Send her to her Ob/Gyn for a consultation. He will be able to recommend a treatment or refer her to a dermatologist that could remove the "critter" at its root.
Reply:this was on a tv program, spa of embarssing illnesses the other week, there was ones on someones arm and all they did was tie a thin piece of string around it and tied it tightly, apparently they just drop off if you leave the string there for a while. it may be on channel 4's website

Reply:Long story made short.... my boyfriend had a - what he thought- skin tag. It was small at first and then he picked at hit and it go big and started to hurt. he went to the doctor and it was a wart. Warts start off looking like "skin tags" but when irritated starts to hurt and take the shape of a wart. But she sounds like she has a bigger problem if it is on or around her genitals. She should go to the gyno and find out what it is... remember genitals warts can be burnt off but you can still get more warts and transfer to sexual partners. Tell her to be careful and to have protected sex until she finds out what it is for sure.
Reply:I get skin tags under my arm pits. They usually just fall off by themselves, but you can tie a string around it. Check out this website. It helped me.
