Yes it's embarrasing. I have an anal skin tag due to constipation. The tag itself is 5mm by 2mm. I want it removed but my doc says it can't be removed because if it is it will cause more harm. Is this correct?

Sometimes it can cause more problems to remove them and sometimes they have little blood vessels which would make it more prone that you bleed. I would see another doctor and get there view on it. Write down a list of the pros and cons after seeking medical advice and then base your decision on that. Reply:No..I ask the same question to my doctor years back with my first child..she said I could have it removed if I wanted to .I chose not to ...I would get a second opinion if I were you..
Reply:They can be removed and some surgeries can do it in the surgery or local Community hospital. Some are treated by injecting a chemical, some by laser surgery. Lots of people have them it's a common problem.
